SEO & Progressive Web App
Written by Marie Pireddu on Tuesday 26 November 2019
What is SEO? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results. Simply put, it’s increasing the likelihood to drive more unpaid traffic from search engines, which results in attracting visitors who are genuinely interested in the products your offer
Having good or favorable SEO means that your Progressive Web App comes up as one of the first results returned by the search engines when someone types the keywords you're aiming to be positioned around.
How does it work? When search engines turn up results, they are based on 2 elements :
- Indexing
- Algorithms
To make up their index, search engines use indexation robots. These robots (bots) browse the web and collect information about the websites visited (content, links, activity, etc.).
Information saved in the index is then used by algorithms. For each request, they calculate and return the list of the most pertinent sites. There are many settings taken into account in judging the level of pertinence. Certain ones are of a technical nature, others are editorial, and some are related to various links that link sites together.
When optimizing SEO for your Progressive Web App, there are 3 aspects to consider : technical, editorial and link building

Mobile sales statistics are setting new records every year..
When you shop, it's from your smartphone. For those born with the Internet, this is the norm. For others, it's amazing.. except when the user experience is not up to par.
We have all had disappointing shopping experiences on our mobile phones: the need to login again, poor display, long and tedious checkout process, a lot of data to enter on a small keyboard, etc. When the user experience is so discouraging, we give up and head for a merchant who allows us to shop easily.
GoodBarber Shopping App was born from our desire to equip all e-merchants with the technology that makes mobile shopping fun and powerful.

Written by Muriel Santoni on Friday 9 August 2019
You asked us, and now it's done : links towards Instagram, WhatsApp and Skype are now available in your Contact section.
To set them up, go to Content> Sections> Contact> Edit content. Choose the type of link you want to add from the drop-down menu and enter the requested information.
User side behavior will differ depending on the type of link chosen:
- Instagram: the user is redirected to the web version of Instagram, on the page you have entered, he will then have the choice to stay on the web version, or to open the page in the app, if the latter is installed.
- WhatsApp: If the user owns the WhatsApp app, a pop up will ask permission to open the chat page in the WhatsApp app.
- Skype: A pop-up will ask for permission to open the Skype app. If the user does not have it, he will be invited to download it.
